The Meaning of the Lotus
Associated with Buddhism, it is the flower of spirituality par excellence. An aquatic plant that blooms in summer, the lotus symbolises purity, mysticism and reincarnation. From its roots immersed in the mud, wonderful flowers emerge, rising above the water. For this reason, the lotus represents the elevation of consciousness and the spirit.
It makes a lovely little gift for loved ones in Japan.
