The plum tree symbolises spring because its flowers bloom whilst there is still snow on the ground. It is a symbol of spiritual awakening. The plum tree embodies vigour, longevity, resilience and independence; it is ‘like an orphan who stands up on their own without anyone’s help’.

Although the rice paper has a backing, it remains delicate and dust tends to settle on it, so we recommend placing it under glass.
You can choose a simple frame that complements the minimalist style of the painting, or opt to add a passe-partout first.
