Description
Further explanation:
The calligraphy beneath the enso is ‘Myo shin’, which represents ‘the luminous spirit’.
The seal beneath the calligraphy is ‘Gyo’, meaning ‘to practise, to repeat’.
The rice paper is mounted on a white polypropylene backing:
This is an innovative mounting technique using modern materials, a multi-stage process requiring great concentration and experience.
The result is excellent: the backing makes the paper more durable; the artwork acquires a certain rigidity, ideal for framing.
The colours are produced using coloured inks.
For framing the artwork:
Although the rice paper has a backing, it remains delicate and dust tends to settle on it, so we recommend placing it under glass.
You can choose a simple frame that complements the simplicity of the painting, or opt to add a passe-partout first.
