The calligraphy in the centre is ‘Butsu’, meaning ‘Buddha’, accompanied by the seal ‘Gyo’: to practise, to repeat.
Rice paper, stiff and thin.
The colours are produced using coloured inks.
Framing the artwork:
Although the rice paper has a backing, it remains delicate and dust tends to settle on it, so we recommend placing it under glass.
You can choose a simple frame that complements the minimalist style of the painting, or opt to add a passe-partout first.
