In this gallery, we offer a set of three brushes (small, medium and large) ideal for beginners who want to try their hand at Sumi-e painting. For those who wish, the brushes in the set can be purchased separately.
These tools are carefully selected, thanks to the decades of experience of master Beppe Mokuza.
The natural bristles of different types combine flexibility, fluidity and precision. The thin tip allows you to work on details, while the larger reservoir allows for larger strokes.
This section also features three goat hair brushes of different sizes.
The master likes to call them 'clouds' because of their great softness and delicacy. They are recommended in Sumi-e for depicting bamboo, for example.
These brushes are difficult to find on the market and have been specially chosen to ensure an optimal experience when painting bamboo. They are not recommended for simple exercises but for final works on rice paper.
