The calligraphy consists of the ideogram ‘Shin’, which means ‘mind, heart, spirit’.
The seal in the bottom left-hand corner is ‘Butsu’ (‘Buddha’).
Rice paper, stiff and thin.
The colours are produced using coloured inks.
Framing the artwork:
Although the rice paper has a backing, it remains delicate and dust tends to settle on it, so we recommend placing it under glass.
You may choose a simple frame that complements the simplicity of the painting, or opt to add a passe-partout first.
