Description
Further explanation:
The calligraphy in the centre reads ‘Butsu’: Buddha.
In the top left corner is the seal ‘Gyo’, which means to practise or repeat.
The rice paper is mounted on a white polypropylene backing:
This is an innovative mounting technique that uses modern materials, a multi-stage process requiring great concentration and experience.
The result is excellent: the backing makes the paper more durable; the work acquires a certain rigidity, ideal for framing.
The colours are produced using coloured inks.
For framing the work:
Although the rice paper has a backing, it remains delicate and dust tends to settle on it, so we recommend placing it under glass.
You can choose a simple frame that complements the painting’s minimalist style, or opt to add a passe-partout first.
