On the right is the calligraphy ‘Myo Shin’, meaning ‘Luminous Spirit’, accompanied by the seal ‘Gyo’: to practise, to repeat.
The calligraphy at the bottom centre is ‘Butsu’: ‘Buddha’.
Rice paper, stiff and thin.
The colours are achieved using coloured inks.

Although the rice paper has a backing, it remains delicate and dust tends to settle on it, so we recommend placing it under glass.
You can choose a simple frame that complements the simplicity of the painting, or opt to add a passe-partout first.
